Chapter 13 continued today. Yesterday, I was in transit, not able to add much to the word total. About 300 words. Today was business as usual. Well, almost.
Today I'm in South Redondo Beach, at my mom's place. It's a huge change in environment, which forces me to look at things a bit differently.
For one, I've been working on small homages, very slight, to real things. Some of which were common to both my home town in Redondo, and place where I'm going to college, Camarillo. Homages really are the necessary evil of writing. Some people like them, others are confused by them, but for a writer it's the brass that writes the checks.
So, once again, I find myself heavily steeped in one particular homage or another. It's been quite reflective.
